As September transitions to October this weekend and we start the 4 th quarter of 2018, it seems that it was not too long ago that many of us watched the ball drop in Times Square. I remember as a child, my Grandma Long would tell me how fast time flies. In my 8 or 9-year old mind, I could not understand her comment.
However, as I approach the age she said that, I have a more-clear understanding. As we watch first our children, and then our grandchildren go up, we realize how precious time really is. As parents and grandparents, we try to have a reasonable work-life balance, so we can make good memories with our family members. The memories we make now will carry us through our later years.
Time is not only precious to our personal time but also carries over to our professional time. As in most industries, cycle time in your process has a major impact on your bottom line. This is especially true in the plastic injection molding industry. The time between when parts are removed from the injection mold machine is important.
